Hi there-

What I would do is try looking up the Emotional Freedom Technique.

I used to work at a summer camp and I had the same anxiety that one of the kids would wake me up in the middle of the night.

Try to think of something you can do to put your mind at ease about your son. Maybe a baby monitor if you don't have one.

You should question your thoughts and get to the root fear of them.

For example, so your son may wake up, what's the worst that can happen? It's a sort of cognitive behavioral therapy to get you to a place where you don't feel that fear and you can just be yourself.

I would recommend that over medication, but if I were to take a med for this sort of thing, I would take Xanax. When I had the most severe anxiety of my life due to my ex getting a part-time job at my work, it helped me sleep.

I wish you a quick recovery from your anxiety!

:)
