Hi, I have not tried it but there is a watch that can monitor your sleep. I think it is called Sleep Watch or something like that and it is intended to wake you during the right part of your sleep cycle so that you feel better. A friend has one and loves it.

It can track your sleep and you can download onto your computer. It would not be the same as a sleep study but at least it is more natural and would give you some idea of your sleep pattern. It would likely give you a good idea whether you need to get a sleep study.

I have had 2 sleep studies and was so bothered by the wires and different setting that I don't think it was accurate anyway. I slept only a very short time.

They said I had a mild to moderate sleep apnea but I could not get used to the CPAP machine. The doctor suggested that I try to lose a few pounds which I have done and I suspect that has made a good difference. My husband is not reporting that I have any unusual breathing now. However I think I do occasionally if I've had alcohol.
