This overactive mind theory could have merit or that in itself may be too simple. Someone
afflicted with insomnia is awake not by choice. They lie there and with not sleep happening
they think about things. Hence, is their mind overactive because they are lying awake or visa
versa. The only danger in theories lies in becoming stuck on one and ignoring other causes
that truly might help or cure an issue. I suspect there are plenty of insomniacs that do not
over analyze much of anything in life.
