Good attitude. A couple of years ago, my therapist suggested I think about "managing" my insomnia rather than "curing" it. Her suggestion upset me because it implied that I accept my insomnia as something I might have to live with the rest of my life. But I also saw the good sense in it. Why beat yourself up trying to cure something that you may have no control over, and that you don't even understand, and simply work on managing the problem as best you can, with whatever tools you can use. Meanwhile, remain optimistic that it will resolve. As much as her suggestion horrified me, that attitude has helped me get through this.
