How wonderful. It's great that you found someone who's positive and knowledgeable. I'm encouraged by her approach to your sleep problem. I'm also intrigued by her observation that anything can trigger insomnia in someone prone to it. That reinforces the idea that there might be some futility to searching for a cause, and instead, to focus on retraining ourselves to sleep (while reducing stressors). I kind of feel like we put so much pressure on ourselves in this do-it-yourself, self-help society, to self-diagnose and self-treat. As if we can be sleep experts along with everything else we're supposed to be expert on. I'm so glad she gave you hope. That means everything. Keep us posted on how it goes!
