I admire your determination. I've flirted with SR but never had the will power to see it through for more than a few days. For my insomnia at least I've reached the conclusion it's not right for me, although of course it may be right for others.

My problem with it is that sleep restriction involves self-imposed stress on your sleep system. Stress seems to make my sleep worse, not better. It's like treating a shell-shocked soldier with a therapy that involves deliberate exposure to explosions and gunfire.

One thing I noticed is that you say this technique works for a lot of people. I wonder if that's really true? I know Bren was doing well for a while but then he had a relapse. Is there anyone on the board who can give a positive glowing endorsement for SR?
