Hi - I know you don't like to take medicine but my daughter's mother-in-law has fibromyalgia and she takes amitriptyline - low dose - I have heard this from other people as well.

If you have a computer, go to google and type in fibromyalgia medication or fibromyalgia pain relief or medicine for fibromyalgia - and you can do your own research.

I take amitriptyline for depression - it used to help me sleep but it does wear off but I still take it every night - it has helped me tremendously for depression so I will continue to take - been on it for years - dry mouth doesn't bother me as it is a great payoff and keeps me from getting really depressed. By the way, amitriptyline is generic for Elavil - it is VERY cheap.
