That's a good suggestion. Stress works better for me, because most of what makes me tense has been generated by challenging circumstances beyond my control, not my own worrying. (Although I do that, too). I'm getting better at lowering own responses to stress, but my tension gets somatized quickly. Once that happens, the cycle is established, and cognitive reframing won't do much. That's where alcohol used to work wonders. (Off limits now that I am a Z-girl).
