Hi,

I have fibro. The two key ways I have found to control pain and other symptoms are exercise and sleep.

Many find that exercising in water is best for them. I have always down well with a combination of aerobic, light weights and stretches. I rarely take anything for pain and when I do it is tylenol or aleve.

Since insomnia is my major symptom I try to keep my lifestyle simple, practice good sleep hygiene and take medicine for sleep. If I don't get good sleep then the other symptoms are worse and it is difficult to exercise. It's a balancing act that isn't easy but is doable and worth it.
