Hi there,
Yes, my mentor did do the 12-6, but again, she too was VERY diligent about the process - during SR no naps, no laying on the couch, no flexibility on the scheduling - only going to bed during the scheduled time and no tossing and turning in bed - when you are not sleeping, you get up. Yes, 12:00 bedtime is not the norm for most of us - that's part of the beauty (haha) of SR. And yes, the first 3 days ARE horrendous (first 7-10 days for me were horrendous). That is all part of it too - as horrible as it is, that is normal. Also, 1 bad week, 1 good week, 1 bad week again, is also part of it for many people. As I've mentioned before, a lot of SR is 1 step forward, two steps back and little baby steps all along the way - all of it is part of the process...good and bad...you just need to hang with it long enough. And long enough for some people might feel like a really long time, but it's not as long as months or years of the struggle with insomnia and/or meds.
