Your point is a good one about 1 step forward 2 steps back.

I have realized, in spite of my challenges with SR, it has given me confidence that I can fall asleep right after lights out (what happens after that is not so good), so SR has certainly helped in that area.

I'm glad you are there to give encouragement and practical advice. This process works for most people.
