I've often wondered why cats sleep so much. I'm so jealous!

Incidentally, I went to a neurologist yesterday to find out the results of an eeg. He said my brain waves are displaying episodes of epileptiform discharges.

"Can lack of sleep cause this?" I ask. "Yes. Or it may be the cause of your difficulty with sleep. Or it might be a result of anti-depressants. Or..it might be this is simply how your brain functions."

"Thanks for clarifying that for me" I reply.

Anyway, now I have to go for further tests...one that involves me wearing a cap with electrodes attached to my skull for three days.
