Add me to the list. Stress hormones definitely neutralized sleepiness. Though it was more like, I would get sleepy and go to bed, but the sleepiness would wear off after the first 90 minutes. I'd be wide awake and wired for the rest of the night. "Huh??" I used to think. Now my system is calmer, and sleepiness has made a comeback. Exercise (swimming especially) not only makes me sleepy, it makes me groggy and brain dead. I've missed that!
