I, too, have never had a medication that "worked" for an extended period of time, although I refuse to take benzos, so I'm not sure about them. I sometimes wonder if the problem is in my body or my mind. I think, at some unconscious level, I don't trust medication and resist them somehow. Not sure, though, because, gee whiz, it sure would be easier to take a pill to resolve my problems and my conscious brain would love to do that.

I took Remeron for several months and it worked wonderfully for sleep (15 mg), but I developed some alarming side effects.
