To be honest, Jackson, I'm not sure if my goal is to never use drugs again...my goal is to use drugs on an "as need" basis rather than on a daily basis. It seems that way, I won't have to worry as much about tolerance and long term side effects. I hope to use Cognitive therapy as my main tool for fighting insomnia, and use drugs when I start to freak out. Sometimes just knowing there is something I can take is a comforting thought. Right now, I'm using 25 mg of Seroquel on those nights I just HAVE TO SLEEP OR I WILL GO CRAZY! If I took it every night, I'm sure I would have to increase the dosage, which I don't want to do because it is a powerful drug.

I have not had much luck with medication. I either had to keep increasing the dosage or the side effects were too troubling. Unfortunately, most sedating drugs are also depressing, which is not helpful, or cause intense fatigue the next day.
