That has happened to me as well, although at other times I seem to go in streaks of sleep. I understand feeling discouraged. All that I can say is that for me, peace of mind started to take hold when I stopped looking at each night as an indication of where my sleep was going. My recovery has been bumpy (to say the least) and this bumpiness seems to be the case for many.
The more I could put each night in perspective, and start taking the long view, the less pressure I felt to sleep well each night, and this was a key issue. For me it's been a marathon and not a sprint.
