Hi selini.........just wanted to add something: When I say, "I don't know" to myself -- it is
not a declaration of being beaten or depressed.....it's instead a declaration of the truth, a
delcaration of vitctory...and that's because the truth soothes; the truth is peaceful and
beautiful. For me, and I may be alone here, but admitting that insomnia is a mysterious
and unanswerable foe, a foe that is more powerful than me, puts to a halt -- or at least
slows down -- the internal bickering and mental games that my brain likes to play. And
although I don't really like using the following analogy, I think it's actually pretty
accurate.....think of an alcoholic -- what's the first thing that AA teaches the people in
their classes: The first thing a person must do is first admit to themselves that they are
indeed an alcoholic. No difference here...I'm simply suggesting that we admit that we are
not as powerful as insomnia is, and that trying to manipulate something that's stronger
than us is not the best way to approach it. It's a mindset that puts in the best position to
succeed, I believe. Good luck! Tom
