Laughter

Posted by Athens on September 07, 2009 at 21:00:24:

This might sound crazy: but has anyone heard of laughter yoga? I have found this to be very helpful in the last ten days or so. I checked it out after reflecting on how little I have to laugh about lately, even though I love to laugh.

Laughter yoga: laughing for no reason at all/laughter just for the health of it.

This has picked up my mood, I believe. Of course, it could also be the Reiki treatments I have had, or maybe the combination. In any event, I just wanted to share this because, so far, I have found it to be helpful. Aside from CBT therapy and massage, etc., I have had two 1-hour Reiki treatments. They gave me some energy and lifted my mood. Also, the laughing. If interested, check out laughteryoga.org

There is more to it than meets the eye. Be open minded.

Also, someone here on this board suggested making a statement starting with: "Even though" I liked it and made a script out of it. I.e., even though I may be a little anxious about going to bed and sleeping, I know that eventually I can get some sleep." Thank you for the suggestion. I find this very helpful also.
