I believe your first sentence is the most important and my opinion is yes ask your doctor. He is the only one who has access to your complete medical/pharmalogical history. Whenever a person mixes sleep related medications/supplements, there is a possible negative interaction. If you are having a borderline breathing problem during sleep a combination like the one you describe could move it into full blown sleep apnea which comes with many risks, including increased insomnia.

Personally I've heard too many nightmare stories about ordering prescription meds online. If they are sending you the med without a prescription, I would be very leery about what they say is in it.
