Remember with any supplement, no too people with have the exact reaction and the duration the substance is active will depend on, among other things, the health of your body, especially your liver.

There is still a debate in the sleep field concerning melatonin. At the moment most sleep docs feel it is safe and works best in very small doses. Melatonin hasn't be around long enough to know the full long term effects in adults.

Melatonin can have an adverse effect with children. It can interfere with puberty, their reproductive cycles, etc. so I would avoid giving it to my child.
