I hope you stay on this forum. You've gone through a lot and your posts are a valuable contribution. I'm very interested to find out what progress you make after your sleep referral. In addition to addressing sleep breathing issues, the sleep center should be able to work on the circadian aspects of your insomnia (seasonal) and in Britain you may be prescribed Circadin (time-release melatonin) to help you keep your circadian rhythm in winter.
