Did you know our own Sandman has written some very insightful
work entitled Recurring Thoughts part 1 and Recurring Thoughts part 2.
This could be useful for anyone (such as myself) who feels addicted
to unpleasant fearful negative thinking.I will be anxiously awaiting part 3, unless its already out there and I
missed it.I would just add something quickly..Be careful of your feelings.
What I mean is a thought can happen with the speed of light. Just
like that you feel lousy. The "feeling" might stick with you all day.
Dont trust your feelings, analyse your thoughts. This is when writing
things down is useful. Remember, thoughts happen at the speed of light.
Okay, once there on paper you have them trapped. Yes,then there yours
to get rid of as you see fit, replace them , and let the painful
"feeling" of staying up all night get replaced with peace and love.
For more on this read Tom n Texas.Finaly, as the the Sandman mentions try to live in the moment.
This is important and I struggle with it mightily. My brain likes to
move me backwards to a painful experience or foreword to something awful
that might happen. Dont let it. Relax, breath deeply, slow down your
thinking and STAY IN THE MOMENT> Your mind wants to release its
"fight or flight" responce. Its a natural responce, mechanism,to deal
with the pain you have experienced. Remember fear, anxiety, is largely
this mechanism run amuk, placing you in a state of hyper vigalance.
I believe it can be controlled.I dont have all the answers yet but I love the postings on peace and joy,
replacing anxiety and fear.I continue to do lots of praying. Has my suffering gone away. No, but
I need the connection to God, something more powerful then myself. I
feel God prays in me through my struggles changing me in ways I do not
yet understand. What a journey, what a struggle and thanks to each of
your for sharing.God Bless
