Hi nocturnally yours,

This is an excellent example of a strategy for managing insomnia, especially the anxiety aspect. You go to bed with only one expectation; to relax. As long as you are able to relax you have achieved a successful night in bed. By taking the pressure off by not fighting insomnia and instead focusing on the one thing you really can control while in bed is a great approach.

What some of us need to do is redefine our expectations in bed. And, trust me; I know this is not easy when you have a job to report to the next morning where you must be at your mental peak. However, I can definitely see where this approach could be very helpful for some.
