I know the insomnia is bad, but quitting Zoloft cold turkey can make you pretty sick. It can also trigger depression, even more insomnia, and lots of other nasty events. You're on a fairly high dose of it; you need to go down gradually. I know you want to sleep, but if you get off the zoloft gradually you'll be better off in the long run.
I shouldn't tell you this because it is against what I'm saying, but I quit Zoloft cold turkey once. I did it because I had flu and was too sick to take it for 3 days, and since I wanted off it so badly, I figured I woulnd't notice any side effects while already sick. I didn't have trouble. HOWEVER, I went off another antidepressant too quickly and wound up back on another one because it really messed up my body. So, even though I was lucky enough to get off Zoloft easily, I do speak from experience.
