I was started on 50 mg of Elavil, I slept fifteen hours and I out of it all day. I went to 25 mg and still slept 10-12 hours and was useless. Guess what, after that I went to 10 mg. That did ok but I had a tendendcy for strange dreams. I got off of it and went back on it about two years later. It didn't do anything for me. That's the long way of saying try it and see. It will affect people differently and it may work for you. Good Luck!
