Posted by Michelle on April 11, 2000 at 10:24:38:I have been using valerian root for the past couple of years and it helped in that I would have fewer awakenings throughout the night. However, recently, I seemed to be having an adverse effect after taking valerian, and it has had the opposite effect in that I am up all night. Lately, I've been taking tylenol pm to ensure that I get a good night's sleep. I know I shouldn't take it every evening, so last night I forced myself not to take it. Instead, I took two valerian, and was up till about 2:30am, woke up at 4, slept a couple of hours more till 6am and then got up for work. Anybody aware of any other herb/natural supplements that might work besides valerian?
