I have been taking Ambien almost on a daily basis too for about a year now. My doctor prescribes it in 10mg so I can cut them in half and have twice as much. Funny thing is, He has not questioned my requests for refills either. Why do you think this is so?
The only side effect that I've noticed so far is that my memory is SOMETIMES affected, but only slightly and I'm not sure its even the Ambien or just mental stress that's doing it.
The only problem I have is that I'm afraid that I won't be able to go to sleep at night if my Doctor should decide to stop my prescriptions. I feel like an addict now to be honest. The main reason he prescribed it in the first place is to counteract the insomnia caused by the antidepressant (Luvox) that I've been on for OCD for the past 5 years and my bouts of insomnia which began around 1992. But now I feel alot of shame and guilt for relying on them.
I would appreciate any advice from anyone out there, and I have a wealth of experience in OCD and Depression that I can share with anyone.
THanks,
God Bless!
