Posted by Will Key on April 12, 2000 at 18:02:20:I have been taking 5 pills (25mg ea.) per night to sleep for the past year. I started out with one pill 7 years ago and eventually built up a tollerance and have to increase dosage to get to sleep. January 1, 2000, I quit taking it because my right Kidney started bleeding. I just had it removed six weeks ago and am trying to find out if the long term effect of taking Benadryl caused it. I'm sure it did but the doctors can't confirm it due to no long term studies of it.
