Posted by Rachel on April 13, 2000 at 08:24:35:I have suffered with insomnia, pretty much constantly since I was a child. My Mother was on sleeping tablets all her life, as both her sisters still are. My grandmother too sufferes with insomnia and takes medication on and off to help her sleep. My cousin doesn't take tablets but has bouts of insomnia and finally, I recently discovered that my great Grandmother was also a terrible insomniac, needing tablets for most of her adult life. Does anyone know of any research into a possible hereditary link for insoomnia, or have a similar history??
