I use the foam earplugs and fnd them excellent, the other thing you can try, to focus your mind away from noises, is counting in your head, its an old one but it can work. A useful tip is to count iregularly, so not in 1...2...3...4...5... but 1..2........3.4...5.. and so on, this way you have to concentrate on the counting rather than the noises, good luck. Have you tried yoga? it can help you focus on your breathing, that might help as well.
