Hi,
I just wanted you to know that I used to take Amitriptyline for help with my sleep disorder and it does cause weight gain & carbohydrate cravings. That is what the manufacturer states on their side effects. It sure did cause me to gain weight which was terrible because I have another condition that causes weight gain and it's a mess. It worked really good though. I always slept really well with it.
