I also went through Trazodone withdrawal. I tried cutting-down the dosage by half each week. But that was too fast. I went into severe depression, even though I didn't have depression before I started Trazodone (only insomnia).

I found that I had to cut the dosage by 25%, and stay at that level at least for two weeks. Then cut that dosage again by 25% and stay at that level for another 2 weeks, etc. etc.

I don't think that you can get any smaller dosage/pill than the 50mg you're taking now. So you'll have to get a 'pill cutter' at your drugstore, and cut the pill into quarter-pieces (etc.).

I've also heard that some people dissolve their pills in water, then drink only 3/4 (etc.) of the water in order to get a partial dose during their withdrawal period.
