Don't be afraid of the meds.

I can understand your frustration about meds. I have had to use them for some time and am on Remeron and Trazadone for sleep, but changing the Traz. out for Sonata which seems to help better. Is your Remeron dose low enough -- 15 mgs? The lower the dose the more sedating it is. 30 mgs is the therapeutic (or a higher dose) dose for depression, but for sleep, lower dosage is better. Also, I'd suggest tapering very gradually when trying to go off your meds. Going off all of them suddenly can really be discouraging. You probably already know this, but I just wanted to offer some support.
