My daddy can't sleep w/out meds. Please help

My daddy can't sleep w/out taking sleeping pills, ambien, etc. He takes them to go to sleep, then he wakes up during the night & takes another 1/4 to 1/2. If he wakes up early in the morning he takes another one along w/zanax. He is drowsey all day. Sometimes he can't hardly go. He seems to be pushing himself to do anything.

Can someone give me some advice. Will be appreciated.
