Insomnia before work day ?

Posted by JKB on July 30, 2000 at 21:25:00:

I have had problems with insomnia when I took a job a
few years ago and could not sleep the night before a work
day. I had to ask my doctor for some immovane to help me get
rest the night before work. I remember how awful I felt trying to perform at a workplace and being so tired because I had zero sleep. Not being able to fall asleep is like torture. On weekend nights I have had no problems. I have recently changed occupations and working at a different company but still have problems. I feel bad about having to
rely on a half to full tablet 15mg of immovane to sleep before a work night. I am worried on how I can get by working a job without taking a sleep aid. I almost feel like
I would have to be unemployed. I do have aoraphobia and have
audio cassettes to help with that. I have tried mediation
and that does not help with the insomnia. I think I might
be depressed but dont realize it ? I havent had a relationship in 10 years and perhaps if I had one I could sleep better ? I was wondering if should start taking some
form of anti-depressent? Thanks for the support , take care.
