I would encourage you to try meds. as they may be very helpful and once you get a baseline of healthy sleep while on meds., then you can try tapering (slowly) off of them and substituting natural means if that is important to you.

Don't be afraid to see the doctor and make sure you are seeing one who is not witholding drugs that might really help you. An open minded doctor should not rule out benzodiazepines because of their dependence potential. each person should be approached individually.

You are certainly worth some quality professional help with this matter.
