There probably aren't any stats, because there probably aren't many records. Every doctor and hospital knows how many heart cases, how many cancer cases, etc. they treat because it's easy to pinpoint. Insomnia, unfortunately isn't a diagnosis, and there isn't even a DSM code for it,(Please correct me if I'm wrong).

As for how many accidents are caused by insomnia, it's not like drunkenness or drug use where you can measure it with a blood test. So who knows?
