Does anyone have a drug free way to help insomnia?

Posted by TracieB on October 26, 2000 at 08:14:07:

My best friend has had insomnia since March of this year. I believe it has now turned into Chronic Conditioned Insomnia. She now feels guilty about falling asleep and finds if she sleeps its only for about 10 mins before waking back up again. She is lucky to get 60 mins total sleep during a night.

She has been to her doctors and they dont seem to be bothered at all apart from trying to pump her full of drugs that turn her into a zombie for the rest of the day.

I am now the opposite and I could sleep for England but I have difficulty waking up and could frequently fall asleep during the day. I am also feeling guilty that I can go to sleep and she cant.

We are running out of options now. She is having problems with her eyes and limbs not working properly. If anyone has any ideas, please feel free to advise.
