sinequan / doxepin / neurontin ???

Posted by Christy on October 28, 2000 at 21:32:16:

Can anyone tell me about their experiences with sinequan/doxepin and/or neurontin? My mom is in benzo-withdrawal agony right now, sleeping only 1-2 hours a night, and a few people have suggested that she try sinequan. (Her doctor gave her benzos to help when whe was sleeping approx. 3hrs/night. Now, of course, she rues the day...) I'm concerned and doubtful about sinequan because she had a pretty horrific experience when she tried Paxil. Her doctor gave her neurontin, but it didn't help her sleep and she experienced exhaustion so severe she could barely move. (This has happened before, w/o neurontin, but she seems pretty certain that neurontin was to blame on this occasion.)

I'd really appreciate any thoughts/feedback. It's going on two years now, and her condition is just getting worse.

Thank you!!!

Christy
