Any information on doxepin

I was wondering if anyone out there had a good experience with doxepin. I have tried almost everything out there to get a good night's sleep.
My Dr. said he will try me on doxepin next week if the paxil I am currently taking does not help me and right now it is not doing anything for me.
Any info thanks. Also does it cause weight gain. He said it would.
