Lana...I have had insomnia for four years. I have tried practically every alternative and allopathic therapy. It seems everything works for a while but than stops working .The first thing I tried was a very expensive ayurvedic program- intense herbs, oil rubs, meditation, and correct eating. Got about 5 hours of sleep nightly for a couple of months. Then acupucture for 8 months. Again a fortune of money. Worked on an off in the
time taken. Not pefectly by any means. Then hypnosis. Was able to sleep for about eight weeks 6-8 hours a day. Then that stopped working. In between I was taking ativan, restoril, and ambien if the insomnia got really bad. Every time I went off the drugs I got rebound insomnia....Now after unfortunately taking zanax for a year and a half I am trying to get off of it. I have lowered to a low dose and am back to my old sleeping habits again. I have gotten colonics {insomnia could be a digestive problem} I have tried stock homopathic drops but have not gone to a homeopathist. Be prepared to spend $500 and up for the initial consulatation. Noone really knows much about insomnia. It is a very perplexing disorder. It goes deep into the psyche and becomes and integral part of the body mind. It has a life of it's own.Very powerful...I guess every person who has this has to seek their own answers. I am an astologer and am aware that their is a predisposition toward this that corellates with certain planetary factors. Also certain cycles of life bring in intense mental adjustments. You would not be dealing with this unless it was necessary for your soul to grow throught this experience. So do the work, surrender to the outcome, and try to keep your perspective. If Christopher Reeve could get out of his wheel chair and walk with the condition he would have to stay up three nights a week I bet he would....I know the horror of this.. but maybe we will all get healed soon....Hope Master
