insomnia & depression

Posted by Nancy on November 04, 2000 at 04:28:26:

well here i am again another night with no sleep. I am afraid to go to the doctor or call him about this because i have had some bad reactions on some of the antideoressents he has had me on. I am presently taking amitriptline 75mg &clonazepam 0.5Mg He has had me on amitriptline 100mg and clonazepam 1mg & dropped the dosage because of weight gain & having a real bad druged feeling. I am only taking 1/2 of the clonazepam 0.5 dosage . I cant understand why all of a sudden now no mater what i take i still cant sleep. I drive 25 miles to work.& I am a superviser on my job. I have to do a lot of physical work that is hard to do with no sleep. I am 54 years old & am getting a lot older by the minute. I cant afford to give up my job, I have worked there for 18 years. I havent slept in four nights now and i am at my wits end. I thought i had it licked. I thought the aaamitripline woulld corrct the chemical inbalance concerning sleep. The depression is a lot better, but why cant i sleep. I have taken remeron, trazodone, paxil, ambien,& several others that I cant remember what they were.I aam afraid if they keep raising the dosages of what i am on now, I will be in a bad car accident.I really dont know what to do.
