hi there -
i'm certainly not a medical professional,
but being a fairly healthy-liver (i try, anyway)
and suffering from ongoing depression + insomnia, i believe that less is more, in terms of meds (i'm now trying out st. john's wort, so until i see how it works, i've put my immovane - and even my valerian root - on hold).
this is just me, but it sounds like you might be taking TOO much medication & now your poor body is glutted with so many chemicals that it's getting worse, instead of getting better. an interaction between different pills could be making things even more impossible!
i know this sounds simplistic and scary, but have u considered 'cleaning' out your system of all those meds (for a week or so), then slowly re-introducing yourself to just ONE med (at a time)?
maybe you should seek out a homeopathic doctor
(regular MD trained in naturopathic medicine); they're much more in tune with herbal alternatives to healing.
how about accupuncture? it is amazing; opens
up 'blocked' channels within your body/spirit,
helps tremendously with certain conditions...
and sometimes a session or two is all it takes!
(or better yet, accupuncture plus a good full-body
massage!!!)
best of luck.
