Chiropractors vs. Acupuncture?

I'd originally thought that accupuncture was the way to go if you were looking to break through your physical/emotional/spiritual barriers, which may be causing depression, insomnia etc. But now I've heard that, in fact, a chiropractor was the person to see for this!
Can anyone explain?
