To Ellen posted on October 26th, 2000 Ellen, I was told by my psychiatrist that elavil was hard on your heart, He did not want to put me on it for that reason. The bad reaction you are talking about could be serious. I didnt know that until I started this last round of it. You might check a nurses drug book to see what the side effects are. I was told that I would have to have an electrocardogram oh well I cant spell, You know a heart test ever year because It can effect your heart. If you are still having those reactions then I would try something else.Good luck & God bless you. Nancy
