Thanks. It looks like the light therapy is what most people recommend. I've been using it for a while, and it has helped.

Working on diaphragm breathing during the day has also helped, as well as stopping all caffeine and relaxation tapes before bed.

I've found the same thing about getting stimulated in the evening - I've got to have a couple of hours of wind down or I don't do very well.

Something else that has helped a lot: Enrie Rossi published a book called "the 20 Minute Break." He presents solid research showing that humans need a 20 minute break (or nap, in my case) every 2 hours or so during the day - particularly in high stress work.

This has been a God-send for me. I just go out to my car a couple of times during the day and either do relaxation exercises or a nap. 20 minutes and I am good as new (especially if I had trouble sleeping the night before.)
