I too have seen my weight rise & rise as my sleep probs have got worse. Don't know about the medication but it may not be related. It is possible that you are uisng carbohydrates to 'drug' yourself into sleep (carbs can help sleep) and your body may not process them well. Most low cal diets are VERY high in carbson the grounds that you need energy - though every fatty carries thewir own built-in energy supply: that's the problem! I find the ONLY way I can lose weight is on a very low carb (less than 30gms a day) diet. You may be using exactly the wrong kind of diet for you. Ae you blood type O? Current theories (not widely accepted) suggest that those of us who are Os need to stay off the carbs: only read this recently, but have known for years that low cal diets can actually make me put ON weight (yes, even at a carefully measured & counted, no cheating-'cos-I'm-desparate 800 a day plus thrice-weekly exercise!).
