15 mgs is the worst for weight gain. On it I gained 17 lbs in 3 weeks-most it I needed to gain back. However, on 30 mgs I stopped gaining. I lost the weight as soon as I came off, most in a few days. I think it must be water weight since it comes off so quickly. I started taking it again, and this time went straight to 45 mgs. I sleep fine and didn't gain much at all. With a low fat diet i can keep my weight just about where it was before remeron. I would encourage you, if you aren't sleeping again now that you are off it, to ask about a higher dose. A lot of doctors skip the 15 mg dose altogether now because of the weight thing.
