Fred: your anger and sarcasam is both misplaced and uncalled for. Maybe if you didn't get annoyed at people who share THEIR personal experiences you might have a better shot at sleeping drug free. If you really did some research on the internet you would know how truely addicting both clonazepam and xanax are.You would also know how truely difficult it is to withdraw from the benzo's and the terrible symptoms that come along with it.Most dr's find it easier to just hand out pills and are unfamiliar or refuse to accept the addictive nature of the benzo's.
What are you going to do when the Dr. refuses to refill your prescription or the dose you're on is no longer effective ? The point is there are other medications ( if one wants to medicate ) that induce sleep however are not as addictive as the benzo's. There are also methods to try and regain your sleep naturally such as sleep restriction, maintaining good sleep hygiene, etc. known as behavior modification. Fred, you really should try some anger mgmt.courses and learn to respect the opinions of others. this is an open forum for the sharing of ideas and information. It should be done in a cordial and respectful manner; not in a mean-spirited post such as yours.
