I was able to sleep all night before the ambien. I began taking it because my husband was snoring and I have always been a very light sleeper. I have been trying to set specific times for going to bed and waking up, but I just lie in bed trying to go to sleep. Ambien works great except that I would wake every 4 hrs. or so, and I would take a little more to go back to sleep. This is how my nightly dosage got up to 15-20mg per night. I will NEVER take it again.
